The Leo Club of the University of Vavuniya organized a special film screening on March 19, 2025, at SH4 Hall, Faculty of Business Studies, as part of its Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation campaign. The event featured “PAGE NO 33,” a short film written and directed by Savishahan K., a talented student of the university. With over 100 students in attendance, the screening served as a powerful platform for raising awareness about the dangers of drug addiction. The film depicted the emotional struggles of individuals affected by substance abuse, the impact on families, and the journey toward recovery. Its realistic storytelling resonated deeply with the audience, sparking empathy and meaningful conversations. Following the screening, students openly shared their thoughts and personal experiences, reflecting a growing sense of understanding and compassion. By blending creativity with advocacy, the project demonstrated how art can be a transformative force for social change, leaving a lasting impression and inspiring unity and responsibility among participants.
