Design for the Planet – Poster & Flyer Competition

The Leo Club of the University of Vavuniya organized the “Design for the Planet – Poster & Flyer Competition” to encourage creativity and raise awareness about environmental conservation. Focused on the themes of responsible consumption, waste management, clean water, and energy conservation, the initiative aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 6, 7, and 12. University students were invited to create impactful posters or flyers that visually communicated sustainability messages. The project aimed to empower youth as change agents through art, bridging the gap left by conventional awareness campaigns. Digital submissions were accepted, and shortlisted entries were showcased on the club’s official platforms. A panel of judges evaluated each entry based on creativity, thematic relevance, and visual impact, with winners receiving certificates of recognition. By blending artistic expression with environmental advocacy, the competition successfully promoted responsible living and strengthened community engagement, inspiring students to take meaningful action for a cleaner and greener future.
