Career Guidance: Future Focus

The Leo Club of the University of Vavuniya hosted an online career guidance session titled “Career Guidance: Future Focus” on March 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM via Google Meet. The event welcomed over 40 participants, primarily students from the Project Management degree program. The session featured Mrs. Zaleeka Farook, a former student of the university and currently a Certified Scrum Master and Project Coordinator at Parallax Technologies. She shared her personal career journey and offered valuable insights on adaptability, effective communication, and the importance of building a strong personal brand. The discussion also covered Agile methodologies, teamwork, and industry expectations, providing students with a clear understanding of the skills needed in today’s dynamic job market. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the speaker, ask questions, and receive personalized advice. The session was coordinated by Leo Rashida, Director of Editing, and successfully empowered students to prepare for careers in a fast-evolving, technology-driven world.
